Sold works

Catalogue details (title, date, medium, size) are taken from the gallery's records.

Coast, harbor and hills

More than half of these sales are landscapes. Rocks and Surf Glistening (1924) and Coastal Dunes come from the coastal subjects of his last decade; San Pedro Docks and San Pedro Fishing Boats from the harbor; Old Baldy (1924) from the mountains; and Arroyo, Shade and The Groves Were God's First Temple from the wooded country he painted near home.

Flowers, garden and field

Roses and Mrs. Bischoff in Her Garden show the floral and domestic subjects closest to his porcelain painting, while Plowing the Fields and the small 1915 Spring Poem Study show him working quickly on paper and board.

Reading this list

No prices are shown, and none of these sales sets a value for another painting. Bischoff's porcelains, his desert and Zion pictures and many of his largest canvases are not represented here.
