3. Signature: a close-up.
4. Measurements: height and width of the painted surface, not the frame, and the support (canvas, board or paper).
5. Background: how the painting came to you, and any bills of sale, exhibition labels or appraisals.

Please leave the painting as it is: no cleaning, reframing or removing labels before we have looked at it.

What we weigh

Each review is private. We consider authorship, date, subject, medium, condition, provenance, exhibition record and literature. For Bischoff, subject and finish count heavily: a large rose still life, a figure in the garden, a Monterey or Laguna coast canvas and a small field study each have their own buyers.
